Number Systems And Codes

Common number systems used when working with computer include :   a) BASE 10   ( Decimal )   b) BASE 2   ( Binary )   c) BASE 8   ( Octal )   d) BASE 16   ( Hexadecimal )    Decimal number ( BASE 10 ) Contains 10 symbols and is sometimes called the BASE 10 system.   0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 Ex :   24 10 , 45 10 , 86 10   Binary number ( BASE 2 ) T he binary number system uses only the two symbols 0 and 1 and is sometimes called the  BASE 2 system.
